The APM 152-1200 Super ED Triplet is probably the best 6” Refractor Telescope in the world. Featuring a superb 152mm lens cell crafted for us by LZOS to a minimum standard of 95% Strehl. Each telescope is custom made to order. In addition to a choice of focusers from APM or Starlight Instruments up to 3.5”, customers have options on Dew-Shield, Back Focus and even paint finish.

 

With a significant 1200mm focal length, the 152-1200 is an impressive all rounder. From intricate double star observing to high contrast detailed planetary imaging, this scope takes it all in its stride with ultra high quality views. Such outstanding quality allows for use with quality high magnification eyepieces and Barlow’s for crystal clear viewing of even the most distant objects. A true classic.

 

Imaging accessories for the 152-1200T include a 2.5” field flattener and a special medium format flattener both of which maintain focal length. There is also a dedicated Massimo Riccardi designed APM Reducer. This changes focal length by a factor of x 0.75, resulting in a 900mm focal length and fast f5.9 aperture.

 

Focuser options for the 152-1200T are the APM 2.5” or 3” Rack and Pinion 360 Degree focusers,  Alternatively we can offer the Starlight Instruments 2.5”, 3” and 3.5” Feathertouch focusers
